MASUPA HAILS GOVT ON REUNIFYING COUPLES

By Mary Kachepa

The Independent Churches of ZAMBIA-ICOZ- has hailed government’s decision to reunite couples working in the public service.

ICOZ President DAVID MASUPA says the church is pleased because this will help to promote good morals and values in society.

Bishop MASUPA says the separation of couples due to work has contributed to the high divorce cases recorded in the country.

He told ZNBC News in an interview that the decision by government is unprecedented and will enhance values even in children.

Bishop MASUPA said it is difficult sometimes to bring up children with one parent while the other one is away because of work

On Wednesday, Acting Secretary to the Cabinet PATRICK KANGWA directed Ministries, Provinces and Spending Agencies to ensure transfers of officers in the public service do not lead to separation of family units.
