MASEBO ASKS STAKEHOLDERS TO HELP FINANCE HEALTH SECTOR

Health Minister SYLVIA MASEBO has called on stakeholders in the health sector to help develop sustainable domestic financing for the health sector in light of the shrinking funding from cooperating partners.

Ms. MASEBO observed that despite a significant increase in Government funding , the financial gap for the health sector remains quite huge.

The Health Minister was speaking when she officiated at the National Health Financing Dialogue in Lusaka.

And African Union Commission (AU) Health Financing Programme Officer MOUSTAPHA ZAKARI said the National Health Financing Dialogue is an initiative that shows how AU member states can take a continental declaration and decide to implement it at a national level.
