MADISON CALLS FOR AWARENESS ON CLUBFOOT

 
Madison group of companies has called for awareness on clubfoot, a condition in which a newborn’s foot or feet appear to be rotated internally at the ankle.
Speaking when she handed over clubfoot braces worth 10 thousand kwacha to hope walks Zambia in Lusaka today, Madison life Insurance managing director Agness Chakonta said the donation is meant to contribute to the betterment of the lives of children living with the condition.
Mrs. Chakonta who donated the items on behalf of Madison financial services PLC further commended hope walks Zambia for providing free treatment to children born with the condition.
Meanwhile, hope walks Zambia acting program manager Loice Chipere thanked Madison financial services for the donation saying the foot braces will benefit 1-hundred and 20 children.
Ms. Chipere said statistics show that one in every 7-hundred children is born with Clubfoot condition in Zambia.
