Lusaka Province Minister Bowman Lusambo says the multi sectoral team against COVID-19 will not relent in its efforts to enforce laid down guidelines.

Mr. Lusambo says curbing the spread of COVID 19 is a serious undertaking in the advent of the second wave of the deadly virus.

He has since called for concerted efforts in rolling back the infectious deadly virus especially in Lusaka.

Mr. Lusambo was speaking when he checked on the COVID 19 compliance levels at ZNBC Mass Media Complex in Lusaka today.

He said the National Broadcaster is an important partner in the sensitisation and awareness of the pandemic as the largest station in the county.

Mr. Lusambo has commended ZNBC for complying to the COVID-19 guidelines.

And Lusaka Mayor Miles Sampa said operators of international buses leaving and entering Lusaka without following COVID 19 regulation, will face arrest.

Mr. Sampa observed with concern that some bus operators are deliberately ignoring the measures against spreading COVID-19.

Meanwhile ZNBC Director General Malolela Lusambo appealed to the Lusaka Province Minister to assist facilitate for frequent COVID-19 tests as the institution meets different people daily.

Mr. Lusambo said the national broadcaster will continue to provide awareness and sensitisation information on the coronavirus.
