LUSAKA WOMEN GROUPS GET BOOST

(ZANIS) The Presidential Empowerment Initiative Fund -PEIF- has distributed food rations to 30 women cooperatives worth 1-hundred thousand kwacha in Lusaka.

PEIF National Coordinator, Clement Tembo, who distributed the rations on behalf of President Edgar Lungu, said it is the President’s desire to see to it that no one dies of hunger.

Mr. Tembo has since encouraged people to form cooperatives.

Meanwhile, PEIF Fund Manager, Samuel Luneta said the fund has empowered 6-hundred and 50 cooperatives countrywide and is targeting to empower 3-hundred and 50 more by the end of the year.
