Lusaka Ebola fears put at ease

THERE is no outbreak of the highly contagious Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) in Zambia, Government has assured in the wake of social media speculation.
Yesterday, social media was awash with speculation that Levy Mwanawasa Teaching Hospital in Lusaka had quarantined an EVD patient.
Minister of Health Chitalu Chilufya said at a press briefing that tests on a patient suspected to have EVD, have ruled out the suspicions.
The patient is a 41-year-old man of Serenje who came to Lusaka for a church meeting last week.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
