LUNGWANGWA, KASONSO DEFECT TO PF 

 

By Sharon Kunda-UPND Nalikwanda Member of Parliament Geoffrey Lungwangwa and his Solwezi West counterpart Teddy Kasonso have defected to the ruling PF.

And PF national mobilisation chairman Ng’onga Mukupa says the party has continued to grow in numbers as can be seen from recent defections from other political parties, especially UPND.

Speaking when he received Professor Lungwangwa and Mr. Kasonso and other UPND members, Mr. Mukupa said the PF attaches value to every person who joins the party.

He said the PF has continued to receive UPND members with value citing Prof. Lungwangwa who has vast experience in national politics.

And Member of the Central Committee Stephen Kampyongo said the PF has continued to accept people from other political parties as a way of uniting the nation.

Mr. Kampyongo who is also Home Affairs Minister said President Edgar Lungu wants to see the nation United as it heads to the polls.

He said there are no old or new members in the PF and that everyone is equal.

Meanwhile, Member of the Central Committee Richard Musukwa said PF is an inclusive party for all Zambians.

Mr. Musukwa said people are joining the PF because of President Lungu’s quality of leadership and the agenda to develop the country.

He urged PF members to welcome everyone to the party to ensure a landslide victory in the August 12 polls.
