Lungu to set up commission of inquiry on post-election violence

Newly inaugurated President Edgar Lungu has announced the appointment of a commission of inquiry to probe the incidences of violence that characterized the post-election period.

Meanwhile, Lungu has assured the nation that the trust the people have shown in him by giving him a new five-year mandate is not misplaced.

Speaking after his inauguration as 6th Republican President, Lungu also directed all senior government officials to own an agro venture on small scare

“In order to sustain our countries industrialization, we must continue to support the energy, water development and science & technology. ” he said as the crowds cheered.

“The slogan “sonta apo wabomba, nga tawasonte sela tubombeko” is more than just a political slogan but a cultural phenomenon that will inspire hard work amongst our people.”

Lungu also said the isolated incidents of violence during the elections is so shameful and must be probed.
