LUNGU PRAISED FOR PEACE AND UNITY

Luanshya Mayor, Nathan Chanda has praised President Edgar Lungu for creating an enabling environment for unity and peace ahead of the August 12 polls.

And Mr Chanda has called for peace and unity as the country prepares for the elections on August 12.

Speaking when he commissioned the Nathan Chanda Police Post in Roan Township, Mr Chanda said the construction of the Police Post at a cost of over one point two million Kwacha will help address crime in the area.

He stated that the Police Post has been constructed with the help of Luanshya Copper Mines due to good policies put in place by the Patriotic Front government.

Mr Chanda added that the private sector is coming on board because of President Lungu’s leadership in the provision of quality infrastructure for the men and women in uniform.

And Luanshya District Commissioner, Patrick Maipambe said the government remains committed to the provision of quality infrastructure.

Meanwhile, Copperbelt Province Police Commissioner, Elias Chushi has commended the government for always ensuring officers have decent infrastructure.

Mr Chushi said the infrastructure will motivate the officers and further implored the community to partner with Police and help in guarding the infrastructure that has come at a huge cost.
