LUNGU DONATES SOLAR SYSTEM TO CHIEF MUKUBWE

(ZANIS) President EDGAR LUNGU has donated a high power solar home system solution to Chief MUKUBWE’s palace of Ngabwe district in Central province.

The 1.6 kilowatts High power system has since been Installed at the Palace by the Rural Electrifications Authority (REA).

Special Assistant to the president for Project Monitoring and Implementation, ANDREW CHELLA and central province Permanent Secretary, BERNARD CHOMBA officiated at the handover ceremony at the chief’s palace in Ngabwe.

Meanwhile, Chief MUKUBWE, who spoke through the palace’s Secretary, ANNAS NGENDAPANSHI expressed gratitude to President LUNGU.

And Mr. CHELLAH, who also flagged off the electrification of Ngabwe central business district, said Ngabwe is one of the districts that has received a fair share of development.

Meanwhile REA, Director Engineering Services, PATRICK MUBANGA, who represented, REA chief executive officer, said the institution is determined to provide electricity to people in rural areas.
