Lungu dates Copperbelt as HH moves to Lusaka

Republican President and Patriotic Front (PF) presidential candidate Edgar Lungu is today, Monday August 1, 2016 expected to begin his campaign tour of Copperbelt Province.

Lungu, who last campaigned on the Copperbelt when he addressed a PF mega rally at Levy Mwanawasa stadium in a Copperbelt manifesto Launch is expected to date Ndola, Luanshya, Kalulushi and Mufulira.

Copperbelt was a PF strong hold in the last general elections which saw the party sweeping almost every parliamentary seat except for Kafulafuta, Mpongwe and Masaiti which is the rural part of the province. Lungu is expected to address the job loses which the p experienced in the few months after his ascendency to the Presidency.

Meanwhile, United Party for National Development (UPND) presidential candidate and leading challenger to the ruling party, Hakainde Hichilema is expected to address a rally in Lusaka’s Matero area.

Hichilema who is in an alliance with former Matero Member of Parliament and UDF leader Miles Samoa is expected to campaign for the UPND parliamentary candidates in Mayoral, Parliamentary and local government.

Hichilema addressed mammoth rally in Kitwe on Sunday, July 31st before going south towards Lusaka.
