LUFWANYAMA AUTHORITIES KILLS SMUGGLED ANIMALS

Lufwanyama district authorities have confiscated and killed five animals which were being transported illegally from an unknown place to the Democratic Republic of Congo.Lufwanyama district Livestock and fisheries coordinator, Eugene Mweemba confirmed this to ZANIS in Lufwanyama district today.Mr. Mweemba said the confiscated Livestock include three cattle and two Goats which were being transported by three Congolese nationals.He stated that the suspects were cornered at Funda area in Lufwanyama after they were found to have no livestock movement permit and other necessary documents.
