Luchanga on the verge of joining Prison Leopards

With the 2021/2022 MTN Super League season approaching fast teams are busy preparing and working hard to be ready for the new season.

Teams are strengthening their squads in all departments and one team that is busy in the market is Kabwe based, Prison Leopards who have been making changes to their squad ahead of the 2021/2022 Zambian Super League Season scheduled to kick off in September.

The Correct boys were the surprise team last season after commanding the league log table for several weeks at the top and later struggled for survival.

The team has added Gerald Chisha, Wilmore Haatembo, and Langson Kapumbu among others to their squad.

The ZamFoot Crew now understands that Prison Leopards are looking to add former Zambia-U20 striker, Conlyde Luchanga to their squad.

Luchanga who last season played for Buildcon FC in Ndola is on the verge of joining Prison Leopards according to a reliable ZamFoot Crew source.

“Golden Boy will soon be a prisons player, negotiations have reached an advanced stage and the player will soon sign a contract in the coming days,” said the source.

Luchanga has played for Lusaka Dynamos, Forest Rangers, and Buildcon FC in the Superleague and was voted the 2015 Young player of the season. He also played for Hapoel Ra’anana.

He made his Super Division debut at Lusaka Dynamos under Perry Mutapa in 2015 and was the Elite sides’ top goalscorer with nine goals.

Luchanga was part of coach Beston Chambeshi’s 2017 Under–20 Africa Cup of Nations winning team.

The young forward also scored on his national team debut between Zambia and Mozambique in the 2016 Africa Nations Championship Qualifiers.
