Lubambo Musonda’s lone strike earns AC Horsens a big win

Zambian wing wizard Lubambo Musonda scored the only goal of the match for the AC Horsens side that kicked off their 3F Superliga campaign with an impressive 1-0 win over reigning champions FC Copenhagen.

The Zambian international’s goal at the hour mark was enough to give the newcomers maximum points in their opening game of the season.

The yellow Danger thought they had taken the lead after just nine minutes when Casper Tengstedt struck beautifully, but after a VAR check the goal was ruled out for offside.

Copenhagen then took over the show and came close a number of times.

Hakon Arnar Haraldsson was the next victim of the Video Assistant referee check as his 40th minute strike was chopped off for an offside.

Horsens needed just 16 minutes to break the deadlock as the former Power Dynamos man struck beautifully inside the box after being teed up nicely by Anders Jacobsen.

The win takes AC Horsens to 3rd place on the 3F Superliga table as the defending Champions drop to bottom.

Meanwhile Edward Chilufya put in a 67 minute shift for FC Midtjylland in their 1-1 draw with Randers FC.
