Lubambo, Lameck Banda expected in training today…As Patson, Enock, And Fashion’s omission is explained

Zambia National team head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojeviç has named a provisional 36 man squad for the upcoming three matches against Sudan, Benin, and Senegal.

The squad is missing key players like Patson Daka, Enock Mwepu, and Fashion Sakala much to the dismay of the Chipolopolo fans who have taken to social media to voice their concerns and queries.

However, FAZ Communications manager Sydney Mungala has explained the circumstances that have led to the omission of the three musketeers for this FIFA window engagements. The trio has been excused to sort out their contractual issues.

“For the Senior Men’s national team that is regrouping today the coach has named a strong team and we have about three foreign-based players who will also be part of the training session today,” Mungala told the ZamFoot Crew in an interview.

“On the omission of Patson Daka, Enock Mwepu, and Fashion Sakala Jnr, you have to understand that Sakala signed a precontract with Glasgow Rangers and he has finalized the rest of the requirements for that contract to come into effect like medicals so he is using this period to try and close that contract.”

“Enock and Patson are in the process of making possible moves from their club so this is the window that offers them a possible move to another team, Their representatives have requested for some time to sort out that side of the business that is why you have not seen the same, with Evans Kangwa whose contract has run out in Russia and is on the verge of making his next move so you won’t see him for this assignment, But everyone who has been doing very well has been summoned hence we hope we will have a good team when we play, Senegal, Benin, and Sudan,” he added.

The Chipolopolo Boys will face Senegal in an international friendly match on June 5th, Benin on June 8th and then they are expected to proceed to Omdurman to play Sudan on June 10.
