Luapula lightning strike kills four whilst inside their house, police say

FOUR members of the same family have died after being struck by Lightning whilst inside their house during a heavy rain in Kawambwa District in Luapula Province.
The deceased have been identified as Rebecca Chellah Musubilo aged 42, Justine Kapambwe Chibeka aged 15, a grade 8 pupil, a seven year old girl identified as Sila Chibeka and a four year old Mary Chibeka all of Musundu Village in Chief Chama of Kawambwa District.
Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo has confirmed the development to Mwebantu in a statement and said the incident happened on Saturday at about 17: 00 hours.
And Katongo said the bodies of the deceased persons were taken to Luwingu District Hospital Mortuary awaiting burial.
