Long queues at HPCZ as health practitioners renew licences

Queues have characterized Health Professionals Council of Zambia HPCZ offices as health practitioners renew and register for the practicing licenses.

This is after government through the Ministry of Health announced for the recruitment of Health workers in various fields.

A Check by ZNBC News at the HPCZ Lusaka Hub and headquarters offices found several health practitioners renewing and registering for the practicing licenses.

Those talked to say the process has been smooth with many acquiring their practicing licenses.

And HPCZ Chief Executive Officer and Registrar BWEMBYA BWALYA said the council has opened their offices on the weekends to carter for many people.

Mr BWALYA said the exercise is also meant to decongest the week days for the people coming to obtain their licences.

He said the council has attended to over 300 practioners at their hub offices alone since yesterday.
