LIVINGSTONE EXPECTING GOOD YIELD

Livingstone District Cooperative Union Chairperson RWINNICK MAPANZA has projected that the tourist capital is headed for a maize bumper harvest in the 2022 2023 farming season.

Mr. MAPANZA told ZNBC news that the good rains coupled with good management by farmers will result in about ninety percent crop yield..

Meanwhile Mr. MAPANZA said a number of farmers in the district have grown cash crops an indication that farmers have started diversifying.

He said farmers are now taking farming as a business by growing cash crops as opposed to the past when they were just growing crops for consumption.
