LIONS TERRORIZE LUANO

The Department of National Parks and Wildlife has deployed officers to Luano District in Chief Chembe’s area where a group of lions have caused terror.

Acting Director Andrew Chomba says the lions have so far attacked seven domestic animals including cattle and goats.

Speaking to ZNBC NEWS, Mr Chomba said the department is yet to establish the number of lions on the loose.

He said the lions have been attacking the animals during the night.

He has since warned the people int he area to be careful and construct lion proof kraals to protect their livestock.
