LIGHTNING STRIKES THREE DEAD

Three people have died on the spot, after they were struck by lightning in Luano district, Central province.

The incident happened at a community school, last Thursday around 16 hours, during a Parents-Teachers Association -PTA- meeting.

Luano District Commissioner, Christopher Chibuye has confirmed to ZNBC News, saying the deceased include the PTA Vice Chairperson, Davision Siziba, aged 68.

The others are Angela Mweemba, aged 28, a teacher, and Boyd Cheelo, aged 12, a pupil at the same community school.

Mr Chibuye said the incident happened as the area was experiencing a heavy downpour.
