Levy Mwanawasa Stadium to host World Cup Qualifier

Ndola’s Levy Mwanawasa Stadium will host Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier in September 2021 between Zambia and Tunisia, the ZamFoot Crew understands.

Zambia will open their World Cup qualifiers campaign against Mauritania away before hosting Tunisia in Ndola.

“For now it’s just the Tunisia match which has been decided to be played at Levy,” a Football House insider told the ZamFoot Crew.

FAZ is yet to decide which stadia will host the home ties against Mauritania and Equatorial Guinea.

In the next FIFA window in October 2021, the Chipolopolo Boys will play Equatorial Guinea in back to back matches to wind up match day 3 and 4.

In November 2021, Zambia will travel to Tunis in what could be a mouthwatering tie against the Carthage Eagles.

Zambia will then host Mauritania in the final match.

The Chipolopolo Boys together with coach Micho and the Andrew Kamanga led FAZ executive will hoping to redeem themselves after a disastrous African Cup of Nations campaign.

Despite being the AFCON being expanded to 24 countries, Zambia has failed to qualify for three (2017, 2019 and 2021) successive editions.
