LAZ Warns Facebook Lawyers

The Law Association of Zambia has warned an emerging cadre of ‘facebook’ lawyers that have made it a habit to make legal comments on social media.

In a circular dated August 24 the LAZ has noted that lawyers have been on the loose rendering their opinions on social media without clearance by the council or Legal Practitioners Committee.

LAZ is the umbrella body for practising lawyers but of late there has been an outbreak of ‘facebook’ driven practice adding to various misleading positions.
