Attorney General MULILO KABESHA has urged both private and public lawyers to utilise fully the recently set up Lusaka International Arbitration Centre to settle disputes.

Mr KABESHA says doing so will help position Zambia as a legal Arbitration centre capable of handling international disputes .

He further says the Lusaka International Arbitration Centre will help Government to raise revenue and reduce expenses incurred when sending lawyers abroad to resolve disputes.

Mr KABESHA said this during the orientation meeting for legal practitioners held at Lusaka International Arbitration Centre which was officially launched by President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA on 5th April this year.

And Law Association of Zambia President LUNGISANI LUNGU said the centre will help to dispose of commercial disputes that have not been resolved for many years in courts of law.

And Solicitor General MARSHALL MUCHENDE called on all lawyers and Zambians to take ownership of the Lusaka International Arbitration Centre saying it is a great achievement for the country.

Meanwhile, Center Board Chairperson CHABUKA KAWESHA says all experts will work together to ensure that activities at the facility are a success.
