Ruling Patriotic Front President Edgar Lungu has maintained a steady lead ahead of his closest rival Hakainde Hichilema in 29 of the 156 constituencies announced so far.

ECZ chairperson Esau Chulu has announced that President Lungu has so far polled 262, 149 against Hichilema’s 243, 794.

The next round of results will be announced at 18: 00 hours, ECZ public relation manager Chris Akufuna has said.
