Russian based wing wizard Lameck Banda says he is working hard to play the remaining eight games of the Tinkoff Russian Premier League.

The former Zesco United, Buildcon and Nkwazi player wants to use the remainder of the Tinkoff season to make his case for a place in the Zambia national team.

Banda has previously played for both the Zambia U-17 and U-20 national teams.

“When we were home we trained hard at home and the fitness coach would always send us training programs. As a player you need to be fit and prepared,” he said.

“The league is starting soon and it needs to find your fit and ready that’s why we used to push ourselves to train hard.”

“I want to play the remaining eight games, Who knows you I may even get a national team call up. That’s why I am working hard and not relaxing,” he added.

The Tinkoff Russian Premier League season will return on June 21.

Arsenal Tula is seventh on the log with 28 points from 22 games played so far and are 10 points adrift of the top four with 8 rounds of matches left to play.
