Lafarge partner with Stanbic (Z) to host a 2019 music festival

Lafarge put aside K100, 000 grant for the event that will see top local and international artists display their talents this in Zambia this October.

(17-09-19) Lafarge PLC and Stanbic Bank Zambia have agreed not only to partners in sponsoring but also host K100, 000 joint corporation which will see both local and international artists, including an American Grammy award-winner Brandy, Afrobeats from Nigeria, Mampi, Dany Kaya taking part in the Lafarge Stanbic Music festival.
Lafarge Strategy Director, Giovanni Murialdo who spoke for and on behalf  Chief Executive Officer Jimmy Khani by co-sponsoring the StanBic Music festival, Lafarge confirms its keenness to participate in community  activities bent on uplifting the welfare of the people through art and corporate social responsibility.
“We are confident that K100, 000 sponsorship deal will help in promoting our local artist who will also be sharing the stage with the international headliners.”
He said Lafarge glade to see the likes of Mampi, the only local female artist taking part in this year’s event.
The event will provide an opportunity for the company to sponsor the international artists, both brand and costume.
He said Lafarge is pleased to see the composition of the artists including female coming to perform.
“This is a good occasion to award the customer and Lafarge is ooking forward to the event scheduled for October 4th and 5th 2019.
And Stanbic Bank Zambia Head of Corporate and Investment Banking, Helen Lubamba told journalists at the same function that good relationship with other partners like Lafarge is the reason for its success.
She said Stanbic Bank Zambia is happy to have Lafarge as its partner in supporting art in the country.
She said the Lafarge support will not only go a long way but will ensure that the promise of making this year’s event become even bigger and better compared to the  previous years.

Similarly, Lubamba explained, muscle festival is one of the many ways Stanbic has been giving back to tie community and assist with the development of art and music in Zambia.
She said music is a good platform to bring people together and we will continue to attract more artist from both local and international scene.
She said the event is a good platform for local artists in so far ad it promote the career and givens them international recognition.
