KUWAIT AIDS CHIPATA WITH BOREHOLES

Direct Aid Kuwait in partnership with the office of Mayor has invested over 2.9 million Kwacha in water projects in Chipata district in the past one year.

Seven mechanized industrial boreholes and four hand pump boreholes have since been completed while more boreholes are under construction.

Speaking during the commissioning of boreholes, Chipata Mayor GEORGE MWANZA said his office will continue partnering with stakeholders in ensuring that more areas have access to water.

And Direct Aid Country Director WALEED ALBKHIT WALEED said his organisation is planning to introduce other empowerment packages to the needy in society.

Meanwhile, one of the beneficiaries PAMELA PHIRI of Magazine compound appealed to Direct Aid Kuwait and the Mayor’s office to extend the gesture to other areas.
