Klings scores, action for Patson and Fashion as Mwepu gets a knock during warm-up

Zambian players abroad were in action on Wednesday with their respective teams in various Cup games.

Klings Kangwa was on the score sheet while Patson Daka came from the bench to play in the win away at Millwall. Enock Mwepu sustained a knock during warm-up.

In England, Striker Patson Daka was a second-half substitute who cruised to a 2-0 win over Millwall in the Carabao Cup thanks to goals from Ademola Lookman and Kelechi Iheanacho.

Daka replaced Lookman in the 69th minute. Brenden Rogers’ men have now set up an encounter with Enock Mwepu’s Brighton and Hove Albion in the fourth round.

Enock Mwepu was replaced by Marc Leonard before kick-off after the midfielder hurt himself during warm-up. Brighton went on to beat Swansea City 2-0 thanks to an Aaron Connolly brace.

In Russia, Klings ‘Mature’ Kangwa scored a goal as Arsenal Tula started their elite group round of the Russian Cup with a resounding 6-1 win over FNL side Dynamo-Bryansk.

Evans Kangwa was a second-half substitute as he came on to replace Kirill Viktorovich Panchenko in the 78th minute.

In Scotland, Fashion Sakala Jnr came from the bench to replace Kemar Roofe and play the last 13 minutes for FC Rangers in their 2-0 Hampden Premier Sports Cup quarter-final win over fellow Premiership side Livingston at Ibrox.

In Sweden, Edward Chilufya put in a 77-minute shift while Emmanuel Banda was a second-half substitute as Djurgadens IF edged Degerfors IF 3-2 in a Swedish Allsvenskan encounter at the Tele 2 Arena.
