Klings Kangwa named Arsenal Tula player of the season

Zambian midfield ace Klings Kangwa has been named as Arsenal Tula Player of the Year.

Kangwa was voted for by media representatives, and football experts as the best player in the 2021/2022 season for the Russian Gunners.

The former Buildcon midfielder collected 52 votes while defender Igor Smolnikov polled 24 votes in second place with Daniil Khlusevich polling 11 votes in third place.

Kangwa is the first foreign player to win the award in five years. Before Kangwa, Moussa Doumbia was recognized as such in the 2016/2017 season.

Kangwa scored five goals and managed six assists in 22 appearances in all competitions winning a number of man of the match accolades.

The Zambian midfield dynamo also completed the most dribbles this season in the Russian top flight 73/99 – 74%.
