Kelvin Kaindu hopeful of Buildcon’s survival

Buildcon head coach Kelvin Kaindu is not throwing in the towel just yet and is confident his team will survive relegation.

Buildcon was handed a 2-0 bashing by title-chasing Napsa Stars on Friday afternoon. Collins Sikombe scored a goal in either half to hand Team Kopala their eleventh defeat of the season.

Team Kopala is currently 13th on the log with 29 points but a win for Nkwazi and Kansanshi Dynamos tomorrow and on Monday respectively will send Buildcon into the relegation zone.

Kaindu also believes the decision by the Football Association of Zambia, FAZ to end the league prematurely was just a matter of time as almost every team has positive Coronavirus cases amidst the hike in the positive cases countrywide.

” We still have the last games that will be deciders, The other Games will be played tomorrow just keep our ears to ground and wait for the outcome of the other games,” he said.

“The number of COVID cases has gone up and all the teams have positive cases which makes it difficult for a coach to work with a smaller group.”

Buildcon will end their season with a home encounter against Zambia Army-sponsored Green Buffaloes on Wednesday, 5th August at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium as they hope to survive the chop and continue their stay in the top flight since their promotion back in 2017.
