KAWAMBWA DEVELOPMENT TO MOTIVATE VOTERS -CHILANGWA

Kawambwa Central Member of Parliament Nickson Chilangwa says the development being recorded in the area has motivated people to register as voters.

Mr. Chilangwa says the voter turnout in next year’s elections will be more than that of 2016, owing to the visibility of development in various sectors of the economy in Kawambwa.

ZANIS reports that Mr. Chilangwa, who is also Luapula Province Minister, was speaking during his continued tour of the Constituency to raise awareness on the ongoing voter registration exercise.

He said the developmental projects that the PF government has accomplished in his constituency have triggered more interest in the people to re-elect President Edgar Lungu next year.

Mr. Chilangwa explained that since 2011, the PF government has transformed Kawambwa with various industries being set up.

He cited the revival of Kawambwa Tea Company, construction of the Kala 48 Marine Barrack, new roads such as the Kawambwa-Mushota-Luwingu road, establishment of a 21-thousand-hectare ZAFFICO tree plantation, Sunbird Bio-energy Africa Cassava project among ot
ers.

Mr. Chilangwa has predicted President Lungu’s resounding victory in next year’s General Election.
