Kavindele,Sakwiba welcome death penalty,criminal defamation abolition

Former Vice President ENOCK KAVINDELE has commended President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA for abolishing the death penalty and the offense of criminal defamation of the president.

Mr. KAVINDELE says the abolition further enhances Zambia’s human rights profile on the international scene.

And Prominent Lusaka Lawyer SAKWIBA SIKOTA says government through the Ministry of Justice should clarify on what happens to people who were sentenced to death.

The two spoke to ZNBC News in Lusaka today.
