Kaputa woman kills 15 year old son over K 1000

POLICE in Kaputa have arrested a 47 year old woman Chitandala village in Kaputa for allegedly beating her 15 year old son to death on suspicion that he had stolen a K1000 which she had kept in the house.

Northern Province commissioner of police Bonny Kapeso has told Mwebantu that the woman whose name has been withheld allegedly murdered the dead teenager with the help of her other son on Wednesday after she discovered that the money had gone missing.

Mr Kapeso identified the dead teenager as Killian Lubombo , adding that the suspect is in police custody and she will appear in court soon.

He said the teenager’s body is lying in the Kaputa district hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem, while his elder brother is on the run.

“The suspect got incensed after she discovered that her money had been stolen by someone. So, with the help of her older son, they started beating the deceased until he died, but what is not known is what they used to inflict the injuries on the dead teenager.We have since launched a manhunt for the other suspect,” Mr Kapeso said.
