KAPEYA FUNERAL SERVICE HELD

People from all walks of life this morning gathered at the Cathedral of the Child Jesus to bid farewell to former Information Minister MWANSA KAPEYA who died on Monday.

Zambia’s sixth President EDGAR LUNGU and his wife ESTHER alongside opposition Patriotic Front leadership and party members joined mourners at the Cathedral of the Child Jesus.

Information Minister CHUSHI KASANDA was also in attendance.

And in his Homily ,Father ANDREW SIMPASA encouraged the family to seek comfort in GOD.

He also advised the community to provide support to the bereaved family during the difficult time.

Father SIMPASA also noted that Mr. KAPEYA will be remembered for using his talent that contributed to the broadcasting industry.

Father SIMPASA said the nation has lost a gallant son who had a wealth of wisdom and was always ready to share the knowledge while challenging the young generation to rise and promote the African identity.

Mr. KAPEYA who died aged 73, will be buried at the Leopards Hill Memorial Park.
