KAMPYONGO NODS FREEDOM FIGHTERS
Shiwang’andu Member of Parliament Stephen Kampyongo says there is need to give special recognition to freedom fighters for their role in the country’s independence struggle.
Mr. Kampyongo says a policy for freedom fighters is being formulated by Government to look into their wellbeing.
He says President Edgar Lungu has respect for the founding fathers of the nation, who have continued to support him in his leadership.
Mr. Kampyongo has also urged those in leadership to ensure they leave a legacy that will inspire the future generation.
He was speaking when he met freedom fighters in his constituency.
And Freedom Fighter Webson Bwalya thanked government for the role played in the recognition of freedom fighters.
