KAMPYONGO COMMENDS POLICE

By Chiwanza Nachalwe-Home Affairs Minister Stephen Kampyongo says all individuals that were arrested for causing confusion during the just ended by-elections will face the wrath of the law.

Mr. Kampyongo says government will not allow lawlessness during election campaigns as people should be allowed to vote in a peaceful atmosphere.

He has since commended Police in Lukashya, Mwansabombwe, Copperbelt rural and other places where elections were conducted for maintaining law and order.

The minister was speaking to the media soon after election results were announced in Lukashya constituency.

And Mr. Kampyongo said the mobile issuance of National Registration Cards – NRCs- is going on well and has urged eligible citizens to take advantage of the exercise.
