Football Association of Zambia -FAZ-President ANDREW KAMANGA has warned against the Commercial use of the 2012 Nike Jersey because the association can be sanctioned.

This comes after a proposal to use the jersey when the 2012 AFCON winning team takes on Barcelona legends in an exhibition match at the National Heroes Stadium on the 25th of May, 2023.

KAMANGA says the FA has no issue with the Jersey being used for social purposes, but the loss of commercial value.

He says FAZ has the Kopa brand which can be used by anyone under the FAZ license, adding that a New version of the Jersey will soon be unveiled.

Speaking during a media briefing in Lusaka today, KAMANGA said FAZ seeks protection from law enforcement agencies and the Ministry of sports against pirating its products.

He said the association seeks to attain financial independence by commercialising its products.
