Kamanga prefers Patrice Beaumulle over Lwandamina, Wada or Janza

FAZ President Andrew Kamanga’s prefered choice to take over as next Chipolopolo Boys coach is Frenchman Patrice Beaumulle, it has now emerged.

According to the ZamFoot Crew sources in Paris, Kamanga has already contacted the Frenchman on the posibility of him returning to Lusaka.

While the other camp in the FAZ executive committee have identified veteran Kabwe Warriors coach George Lwandamina as their preffered choice, it is believed Kamanga will do whatever he can to bring back Beaumulle.

Honour Janza, now in-charge of Tanzania and Mozambique based Wedson Nyirenda have all being linked with the Chipolopolo job.

Patrice was in charge of Ivory Coast at the last African Cup of Nations.

But it seemed liked the FAZ Chief has set his sight on the Frenchman.

“The two [Kamanga and Patrice] have been exchanging notes for some time now. Actually Kamanga and Patrice did meet in France before Zambia’s defeat to Ivory Coast in March.

With Croatian coach Aljosa Asanovic set to take FAZ to FIFA for nonpayment of his dues, Kamanga wants to name his new coach soon.

Beaumulle was recently in-charge of Ivory Coast but was sacked after he failed to qualify the team to the World Cup.

He also had a spell as head coach of Morocco Under-23.

Beaumulle was also part of the Zambia’s 2012 African Cup of Nations winning squad when he saved as Herve Renard’s assistant coach.

The two went on to guide Ivory Coast to the 2015 AFCON.

He was also Renard’s assistant coach French clubs Sochaux, Lille and Metz.
