KALUNGA ASKS ZAMCOM TO HELP CHANGE MEDIA NARRATIVE

Government has called on the Zambia Institute of Mass Communication -ZAMCOM- to change the narrative on the conduct and performance of media personnel in the country.

Information and Media Permanent Secretary KENNEDY KALUNGA says the public is looking to institutions such as ZAMCOM to help improve the perception on the conduct and performance of media personnel.

Mr. KALUNGA has also praised Outgoing Chairperson ROBERT MAKOLA for his contribution towards the transformation of the institution that has among other achievements resulted in prompt payment of workers’ salaries.

He was speaking in Lusaka during the farewell ceremony of Mr. MAKOLA .

Meanwhile Mr. MAKOLA hinted at the impending launch of a ZAMCOM Radio Station whose equipment he helped procure as among his achievements.

Mr. MAKOLA said the establishment of ZAMCOM Radio Station will not only enable students to have hands on experience but also supplement the institutions’ income generating ventures.

And Incoming ZAMCOM Board Chairperson LEONARD KANTUMOYA praised Mr. MAKOLA for his great contribution to uplift the image of the institution.
