Kafue Community Radio Station Granted Licence

Government has granted operating Licence to Kafue community radio station.And Information and Broadcasting Services Minister DORA SILIYA says government will continue to put in place measures to grow the Broadcasting industry in Zambia.Mrs. SILIYA says community radio stations are key platforms, which allow people to make informed decisions.Speaking during a media briefing in Lusaka today, Ms. SILIYA called all radio stations to adhere to the Information Broadcasting Authority (IBA) act.Meanwhile IBA Director General JOSPHINE MAPOMA disclosed that the operating Licence for Kafue Radio was cancelled due to various reasons in March 2019.And Kafue District conference Council Secretary ISAAC MUDALA disclosed that over 1 hundred and 80 thousand kwacha has been spent to rehabilitate the infrastructure and replace equipment at the station.
