Kabwata electorate expect hardworking rep

By Ruth Chayinda-Some Kabwata residents have urged those aspiring for the Kabwata Parliamentary seat to ensure that once elected into office, they will attend to the numerous challenges in the area.

The residents have expressed hope that the incoming Member of Parliament will make youth empowerment a priority.

MALOLO MWANSA says the rate of alcohol abuse in Kabwata constituency is high and needs to be addressed by the Member of Parliament who will be expected to advocate for empowerment programmes.

He suggests that through empowering the youths with funds the young people will engage in businesses hence improving the economy.

Mr. MWANSA said in an interviewn with ZNBC that there is also need for the area member of parliament to work on improving the state of some roads and the drainages in the constituency.

And, WINTER CHIBALE noted that the Member of Parliament should prioritize unity and instill the fear of God in them so that they can have virtues that are in line with Zambia as a Christian nation declaration.

Mr. CHIBALE said the Member of Parliament should have creative ideas that will contribute to him lobbying for resources for the youths in the constituency.

He also noted that Kabwata is a big constituency which led to some areas remaining undeveloped hence the need for MP to equitably distribute development.

On January 20, 2022 , the electorate in Kabwata will go to the polls to elect their Member of parliament.

Seven candidates are vying for Kabwata Parliamentary Set after successfully filling in their nominations.

Among the political parties that have filled in, are the Economic Equity Party, People’s Alliance for Change, United Progressive Party, Patriotic Front and Socialist Party.

Other parties the United Party for National Development and the Patriots for Economic Progress -PEP.
