Kabange Mupopo powers through to 400m semis

Zambia’s 400 meters specialist Kabange Mupopo has qualified to the semifinals of the ongoing IAAF World Championship in London after she won Heat 3 of the women’s 400 meters dash, clocking an impressive 51.09 seconds.

The 24-year-old, who is also captain of the women’s national football team, reached the semifinals of the same tournament two years ago in Beijing, China But will be hoping to go a step farther this time around.

The other Zambian representative, Sidney Siame, will take to the track on Monday in the men’s 200 meters.
