Government is estimated to spend about K4m in reviewing the Public Order Act.

Home Affairs and Internal Security Minister JACK MWIIMBU says the review process will be conducted in Lusaka.

Mr. MWIIMBU says stakeholders outside Lusaka will be communicated to in due course on how they can be part of the process.

Addressing the media in Lusaka today on the roadmap for the review of the public order act, Mr. MWIIMBU said a technical committee will be appointed, while receipt of oral and written submissions, national stakeholder consultative meeting and stakeholder validation meetings will be held before presentation to cabinet by  September 29th, 2022.

He said government will ensure that it brings on board all stakeholders in the review process to facilitate wider consultations and building consensus.

Mr. MWIIMBU further encouraged all interest groups to be part of the process.
