Judge TIMOTHY KATANEKWA removed from office

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has with immediate effect removed TIMOTHY KATANEKWA from the office of Judge of the High Court for Zambia.

President HICHILEMA has acted on the recommendations in the report presented to him by the Judicial Complaints Commission -JCC.

This is according to a statement released to ZNBC news this evening by State House Chief Communications Specialist CLAYSON HAMASAKA.

Mr. HAMASAKA has explained that the removal of Judge KATANEKWA is in exercise of the powers vested in the President in Article 144 (5) (b) of the Constitution of the Republic of Zambia.
