Joel Bwalya and Nchimunya Mweetwa appointed head coach and physical trainer at Kafue Celtic

Newly promoted Zambia Super League side, Kafue Celtic has appointed former Zanaco assistant coach Joel Bwalya as head coach at Kafue Celtic.

Former Ndola United head coach Nchimunya Mweetwa has also been dropped in as a physical trainer. The Crocs confirmed the development in a statement availed to the ZamFoot Crew.

After the unexpected departure of Head Coach Robert Tembo, we would like to announce that we have since appointed Mr. Joel Bwalya as our Head Coach and Mr. Nchimunya Mweetwa as Physical Trainer. The two coaches have since joined The Crocs Pre-Season camp as it moves to northwestern province.

Proprietor, Lee Kawanu believes the two coaches will bring a wealth of experience and will do well with the youth in the team which is the Crocs philosophy.

“I believe the two coaches will bring a wealth of experience to our young team going into our maiden super league season. Having worked closely with Joel at the national youth level and during the Airtel Rising Stars programs, I have no doubt he will fit into the Kafue Celtic philosophy that focuses on youth player development with great ease,” – Kawanu said.

Joel Bwalya is happy to have joined the Crocs and says he will do his best to be worth with the Youthful and exciting Kafue Celtic side.

“I’m very pleased to be here. This is a great opportunity and I’m going to do my best for the team. I’d like to thank the executive for believing in my ability. I’m looking forward to working with such a young and exciting team,” Bwalya said.

We would also like to announce the engagement of three youth coaches recruited from our partner club Celtic 08 in Western Province.

Celtic finished third in the Eden University/FAZ National Division One to win promotion to the MTN Super League.
