JAPAN HAILED FOR EDUCATION ASSISTANCE

Government has hailed the bilateral relation in the area of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation between Zambia and Japan.

Minister of Higher Education Brian Mushimba says the collaborations are essential as they will create an opportunity for Zambian universities to access information on advanced technologies.

The Minister said this when Japanese Ambassador to Zambia Mizuuchi Ryuta paid a courtesy call on him today.

Dr. Mushimba also expressed happiness that the Japanese government was conferring honor of recognition for the excellent results the University of Zambia -UNZA- School of Veterinary medicine has produced.

He has further commended the Japanese Government for the books that will be donated to the UNZA library.

And Japanese Ambassador to Zambia Mizuuchi Ryuta said the University of Zambia and Hokkaido University of Japan have been working closely and have been producing remarkable results.

Mr. Ryuta said in recognition of the splendid cooperation and outcome between the two universities, the Japanese government decided to confer an honor of recognition to the University of Zambia School of Veterinary Medicine at a soon to be held ceremony.
