Invest back home,Mutti implores Zambians

Speaker of the National Assembly NELLY MUTTI has implored Zambian in Diaspora consider investing in Zambia.

Ms. MUTTI says developing the country is the responsibility of every Zambian and should not be left in the hands of government alone.

The Speaker made the remarks at a dinner organised in her honour at the residence of Zambia’s High Commissioner to Australia ELIAS MUNSHYA.

Ms. MUTTI said to develop Zambia, government has increased the Constituency Development Fund CDF 28 point three million kwacha per constituency this year.

Speaking earlier, Dr. MUNSHYA said the Zambian Mission in Australia prioritises engagements between the Zambian Diaspora and Senior Government leaders.

Dr. MUNSHYA said President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA campaigned on the promise of enhancing relations between the Government and the Diaspora.

Meanwhile, representative of the Zambian Diaspora in Australia CHANDA CHIFUNTWE thanked Ms. MUTTI for finding time to address Zambians living in Australia.

Mr. CHIFUNTWE appreciated the efforts by the Government to develop the country.

The Speaker was in Canberra, Australia to attend the twenty-sixth Conference of Speakers and Presiding Officers of the Commonwealth from 3rd to 6th January, 2023 which has since concluded its deliberations.

Ms. MUTTI was elected to sit and represent other African Speakers and Presiding officers on the Standing Committee of the Conference of Speakers and Presiding Officer of the Commonwealth.
