INFRATEL,AIRTEL SIGN ‘TOWERING’ DEAL

Infratel Corporation Limited and Airtel Networks Zambia Plc have signed a long-term tower co-location agreement that will allow Airtel to lease multiple installation ready towers across the ten provinces.

The Memorandum of Understanding, which was signed in Lusaka today will assure Airtel of its continued and improved service in already covered areas.

Infratel’s Chief Executive Officer, Freelance Bwalya said telecommunication infrastructure sharing will significantly reduce the time and capital requirement for Mobile network operators to quickly setup and expand their coverage.

And speaking on behalf of Airtel Zambia, Supply Chain Director Martin Jowi  welcomed the partnership and said this would enable the Company to focus its energy and resources on product and service innovation to enhance the customer experience for all Zambian

This is according to a statement issued by Airtel Head Corporate Communications and Government Relations Yuyo Nachali-Kambikambi.
