Lusaka Province Minister orders illegal liquor sellers to vacate streets

Lusaka Province Minister Sheal Mulyata has warned street vendors involved in the illegal sale of liquor to vacate the streets and operate in designated liquor stores failure to which they will have their merchandise confiscated.

Mrs. Mulyata, who toured Freedom Way in the Central Business District, found vendors selling various brands of spirits with some intoxicated customers sleeping in the heat of the sun.

The minister says she will not tolerate the continued sale of liquor on the streets.
