IG CONCERNED ABOUT POLITICAL VIOLENCE

By Ephraim Chiluba- Inspector General of Police, Kakoma Kanganja has urged all political players to conduct smart campaigns and desist from any form of violence before, during and after the 2021 general elections.

Mr. Kanganja has noted with concern the increasing levels of political violence in the country.

He says the wave of political violence witnessed of late does not reflect the Zambian culture and that all well-meaning Zambians must condemn all forms of violence for peace and unity to continue prevailing.

Mr. Kanganja however says the Zambia Police is more than ready to protect citizens and their property from people with intentions to destabilise peace.

The Inspector General of Police was speaking today when he officiated at the roll out of the government service bus in Kabwe, central province.
